What does it mean to be motivated?
It means to take action to achieve a certain goal or outcome.
We’re all motivated to do many things.
IT IS MUCH MORE DIFFICULT TO MOTIVATE YOURSELF WHEN IT IS SOMETHING YOU DON’T LIKE DOING (like homework!).
This is where extrinsic motivation is often required – where the motivation comes from outside of yourself – from a parent, teacher, rewards, fear of failure etc.
For many, doing schoolwork, study, homework or exams is a real struggle. How many of you come up with 'every excuse under the sun' why you don’t sit down to work and ‘just get on with it’?
Would you like to turn study into a positive experience? Would you like study, revision, research and exams to be enjoyable rather than a chore? To do this you will need to change the way you approach study and school. You will have to have a change of attitude.
